6 Wildly Easy Dish Soap Hacks

Replace Your Window Cleaner

That’s right! There’s no need to collect a million different cleaning products when you have a few that can serve multiple purposes. You can make the best streak-free glass cleaner by mixing this solution up –

It’s easiest to pour everything into an empty spray bottle and just shake it up to mix. Once it’s mixed, use as normal.

Stain Remover

Dawn dish soap is one of the most amazing grease fighters, which makes it the perfect stain treatment. Simply squeeze about a quarter-sized amount of Dawn dish soap onto the stain and rub it in until it starts to form a lather. Let the item sit for at least 30 minutes before tossing it into the wash on a normal cycle. Voila!

Fruit Fly Remedy

One of life’s biggest unpleasantries has got to be fruit flies. They’re not aggressive, but just annoying enough to throw off your mood. Mix up this solution to get them out of your house –

  • A Bowl Of Vinegar
  • A Few Drops Of Dawn Dish Soap

There are no exact measurements, so measure with your heart on this one! Place the container where you’ve seen the flies. For example, on the counter near your sink. The fruit flies will be attracted to the smell of the vinegar, but they’ll get stuck with Dawn dish soap, making it easy for you to toss them out.

Find Holes In A Leaky Tire

If your tire is leaking air, but you can’t find the hole then dish soap is your answer. Yep! You heard me right. All that you have to do is mix some dish soap and water and coat your tires. You’ll quickly see bubbles start to form where the air is escaping.

Fix A Squeaky Door

This hack is so simple! If you have a squeaky door that is driving you crazy, simply add a small drop of dish soap to the hinge to act as a lubricant.

Stop A Hair Emergency

Because of Dawn dish soap’s strong grease-fighting power, it can get sticky messes out of your hair such as gum or anything else grease based. Just squeeze a little bit of Dawn onto the sticky area and onto your fingers and gently work it out.
