My Nighttime Pregnancy Routine

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pantene. All opinions are 100% mine.

2020 is the biggest year of my life and it’s filled with lots of changes! All of these changes are exciting, but they are all happening at once, so it can be a lot to process.

Here are a few of the changes that are happening in the next six months:

  • Chuck and I are moving to Durham, NC at the end of April
  • We are selling our house here in Nashville
  • Chuck transitions out of the Army in June
  • Chuck is joining the National Guard in June
  • Chuck starts Law School at the University of North Carolina in August
  • We are welcoming Baby C into the world the middle of August

I told you there were a lot of huge changes happening to both Chuck and I this year. Plus, between all of these changes I am running my business, pregnant, and trying to get all the adulting tasks required of each of the big changes above.

This year is crazy!

That’s why it’s so important  that I develop a nighttime routine to help me relax and unwind at the end of each day. I started taking a bath every night with a relaxing lavender bubble bath. Floral scents are the most calming to me! Some nights I will put on a face mask, other nights, I exfoliate. During my nighttime routine I also love to put on my favorite podcast and enjoy these thirty minutes to myself.

Since being pregnant, my hair has been growing like crazy and is a little thicker than it usually is (thank you, hormones!). One thing that hasn’t changed about my hair is how dry it is due to all the highlighting I’ve put my hair through over the years!

That’s why I started using Pantene’s new Nutrient Blends Collection, specifically the Miracle Moisture Boost Shampoo and Conditioner with Rose Water! The Rose Water Collection was made to help hydrate dry hair (perfect for me!), and is free of sulfates, parabens, dye and mineral oil. This was a huge selling point for me because I’m extra cautious about the products I use now that I’m pregnant.

The Rose Water Collection was also inspired by the Hammam ritual from Moroccan beauty culture. Moroccan women visit the hammam weekly to moisturize their entire body. Each moisturizing step involves a different treatment, most of which are blended with Rose Water due to its hydrating and soothing benefits.

I love to wash and condition my hair during my nighttime routine! Below is how I use them and the benefits to each.

Rose Water Shampoo: This shampoo is perfect to use every time you wash your hair! It gently cleanses your hair and leaves it feeling soft!

Rose Water Conditioner: This conditioner is also perfect to use every time you wash your hair and leaves your hair feeling silky smooth. I like to apply this conditioner only on my ends since my hair is short.

After I wash my hair, I love to wrap up my routine by moisturizing everywhere, especially my bump, with some cocoa butter! Then, I throw on my comfiest pajamas and I’m ready to watch some Netflix before bed!
