Product Review: Jo Malone Perfume

/May 26, 2015

First, let me start off with saying none of my product reviews (so far) have been paid for by an affiliate program. If I ever do get paid to do a product review for a company I will let you know! I do these reviews because I am so in love with the product I want to share my excitement!

I am not a perfume person at all. Until recently I usually wore fruity body spraysI randomly purchased from stores (not exactly ideal). My disinterest in perfume came from fashion magazines- you know, the adds which have the perfume strip attached so you can smell the specified bottle particular sent? Yes, that is where is all originated from. I NEVER liked any of the advertised perfumes and they all just smelled the same to me. Then, when I found out how much perfume costs I was like, I am absolutely not going to spend that much money when I could simply settle for using the body spray.

That is until I came across the Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede Cologne. When I first smelled the perfume sample in the magazine I was like “what is this amazing scent and company?!”. I instantly fell in love because the perfume smelled AMAZING and unlike any scent I have ever tried. The perfume is light and floral (it incorporates my favorite flower!). Every single time I wear it, and this is not an exaggeration, I get at least three compliments by random people saying how much they love the perfume I am wearing. Even my boyfriend when I first wore the perfume, and who never commented on my body spray choices, immediately noticed something was different and told me I smelled amazing! The best part is the scent lasts all day. I have proved this theory because one day I got a compliment early in the morning when I first put it on and then got another compliment at the end of the work day around 5:30. I only use one to two sprays so the 3.4 fluid ounce bottle I bought has been lasting me awhile and I bought this back in November. I don’t know if you can tell in the picture where the fluid is, but I promise you it’s towards the top of the label.

When I first purchased this perfume at Nordstrom’s they women at the Jo Malone counter was beyond nice! She even explained to me I could create my own perfume using the brand’s scents and combine an individualize one just for me (swoon!). She was super knowledgeable on all the types of scents one could put into a perfume bottle and recommended a few combinations to me. I told her maybe next time, but I wanted the peony and blush suede bottle.

On top of great customer service and an amazing product, the packaging is SO cute. The bottle comes in a cute box (pictured) and they wrap a black silky bow around the box. Then, they put the perfume inside a gorgeous bag with black silky handles and the women at the counter even threw in some samples!

Jo Malone has made a customer for life! What is your favorite perfume?! Has anyone else tried this scent and love it as much as I do?! Thank you so much for reading!
