1. Dryer Sheets To Clean Food Of Pots + Pans
Cleaning dishes is everyone’s least favorite chore of all, right? But especially so when you have to scrub and scrub at stubborn food that won’t come off! Next time this happens – grab a dryer sheet & drop it into the pan with hot soapy water. Let it sit for about an hour, and be amazed at how easily the food releases from the dish!
2. Mayonnaise To Clean Dull, Stained Wood
This sounds so gross – but it works! Grab some mayonnaise and a hot dish rag. Spread it over the areas that are dull or stained, and let it sit overnight. The following day wipe it off, clean the spot well and see how much better it looks! To add an additional piece, add furniture polish to add a nice, new shine to the wood!
3. Sunscreen To Remove Permanent Marker
We use sunscreen to protect our skin, but I bet you didn’t know it could also protect your walls, furniture, and carpet! Add a small amount of sunscreen to the stain until it is completely removed!
4. Vinegar To Remove Water Stains
This is one of my favorite ways to clean stainless steel appliances in my home! Mix 50/50 water & white vinegar and watch it cut right through those hard water stains! If that doesn’t work, add some baking soda to your mixture and create a paste. This will be sure to do the trick!
5. Toothpaste To Remove Dirt From Shoes
Grab your *old* toothbrush & some toothpaste and get to scrubbing! Watching your dirty shoes, turn back into he color they started as! Let the toothpaste sit for at least 10 minutes before rinsing for the best results.
6. Toilet Cleaner To Remove Shower Mildew
Toilet Cleaner is actually a multipurpose cleaner! It’s clinging formula allows it to work really well on tiles and grout in the shower! For the cleanest shower, squeeze the toilet cleaner in the dirty areas, let sit for about 30-45 minutes, scrub and rinse!
7. Lemon to Eliminate Garbage Disposal Odors
Grab a lemon, cut it in half, and throw it into your smelly garbage disposal. This will instantly take your disposable from smelling bitter and rancid, to smelling fresh and clean! The smell will fill your entire kitchen!
8. Mouthwash to Eliminate Washing Machine Odors
Yes, you read that right! No more musty smelling towels in this house. With a cup of mouthwash, your load of laundry will be fresh smelling and free of odor-causing bacteria!
9. Chalk to Remove Oil Stains From Clothing
Too many times our best pieces of clothing are *ruined* by oil stains…. or so we thought! Before you throw that shirt in the trash, or even the washing machine, grab a piece of chalk! Rub the chalk into the stain. It will absorb the oils & make it more likely to come out of the wash stain-free!
10. Coffee Filters For Cleaning Glass
Paper Towels always seem to leave behind streaks on the glass and mirror. Ditch them, and grab a coffee filter! No more cloudiness – the coffee filters don’t leave anything but beautiful, clean glass behind!
