Add pretty vases, bowls, or mugs.

This is a simple and effective way to any shelf in any room. You can also incorporate flowers or greenery in these vases! I love to add faux flowers and foliage in a few of mine.

Incorporate varying heights

This makes your each shelf unique so the eye wanders to every shelf! You can easily do this by stacking books on their side at different heights and adding a vase or trinket on top!

Add cute organizational storage

If you are living in a smaller space placing cute organizational baskets are a chic way to free up some space! I added two super affordable wicker baskets at the bottom of my ladder bookcases.

Make it personal

Add pictures of your family or sentimental items throughout your shelves! I also love the idea of adding coffee table books that you love on your shelves too. They may be conversation starters when you have guests over.

It took me almost two weeks to scour the internet, wander through stores, and find the best brands to purchase cute, affordable items for my shelves!

These are the brands I recommend!

World Market: Shop here for trinkets, vases, and faux sheep skin rugs (super affordable and super good quality!).

Hearth And Hand: This is Joanna Gaines home decor line sold at Target and it’s way more affordable then her Magnolia line. The best items to pick up are faux flowers, bowls, candles, and throws. Plus, this line has some of her coffee table books you can add to you bookshelf!

Kirkland’s: This is the BEST place to purchase cute signs for your shelves and affordable pre-made floral arraignments.
