For those of us that are working in an office (even if it’s only a day or two a week!), packing our work bags each morning becomes something like a routine. We know what items need to be in the bag, what items are most important to keep us motivated and productive during the day, and the tools we need to get our jobs done. Figuring out what we need in our workbags takes some trial and error but over the years I’ve figured out what my must-haves for work are.

My Must-Haves for Work
Laptop Sleeve
To help keep my laptop protected in transit, I always use a laptop sleeve and this puffy one is a new favorite. It’s cute but also has extra padding to keep my laptop safe and secure.
Handbag Light
There’s nothing worse than not being able to find what you’re looking for in your bag due to lack of light, making this one of my must-haves! It’s a small light that turns on when movement is detected from a hand and stays on for 10 seconds at a time so you can find your things.
Portable Charger
A portable charger is a must whether you don’t work, work from home, work in an office, or travel frequently for work. I’ve tried a lot of different portable chargers and this one is one of my favorites. It’s easy to use, doesn’t have a million cords, and makes it easy to charge on the go.
Flat Water Bottle
While there are plenty of water bottles out there, this flat one is my favorite for my work bag. It’s slim so it doesn’t take up a lot of space and I love the minimalist look to it. I also haven’t had any issues with leaking!
Slim iPad Case
Getting a case for my iPad was one of the best things I’ve ever done; I no longer worry about it breaking or getting damaged on the go. This slim case is perfect for my work bag because it doesn’t add any extra bulk.
Stylus Carrying Case
I was tired of my Apple pencil rolling around at the bottom of my bag so I purchased this case to keep them, and other pens organized. I also love that it has a separate section for wires!
Airpod Case
I am such a sucker for a cute Airpod case and this one is no exception! I love that this one is bigger than most, making it easy to find in my work bag.
Matte Laptop Case
Just like my iPad case, having a case on my laptop is a must. It keeps the outside protected from scratches, plus it’s cute. This one has been a favorite as of late, the matte finish is so cute.
