5 Tips for Keeping Your Car Organized
Keep Your Car Cleaned
The first step in keeping your car organized is making sure you keep it clean. I swear by this portable vacuum and this car trash can to clean small messes on a daily basis but go in and do a full cleanout of the car every week. This makes the task seem so much more manageable and it will give you the opportunity to also organize any items that are out of place.
Organize the Glove Box
The glove box is a black hole for so many people, which makes sense. It’s where all of the items you need to have on you all the time but aren’t regularly accessing. Instead of throwing all of your papers and extra items in here without a proper home, get them organized. I love this organizer for our registration and other important documents.
Make Use of Common Areas
Instead of keeping nothing in your car, keep everything in your car, but organize it in a way that makes sense. My favorite way to do this is by making use of common areas like the truck, glove box/center console, and under the seats. Utilize storage containers and organizers like this pouch and this clear case to keep small items organized in these areas.
Be Prepared for Emergencies
Emergencies happen when we’re least expecting them and being prepared for them will make handling them so much easier. With these supplies though, you’ll want to keep them organized so they’re easy to access if something should happen. I recommend keeping these items in your trunk so that they’re accessible but organized and out of the way on a day-to-day basis.
Have a No-Food Policy
Having a no-food policy in your car is a hard one, but it’s one that will keep your car clean and smelling great! For desperate times, keep some healthy snack options stored away in your truck organization so there’s something to snack on.
