Hello, Gorgeous! Today I’m sharing a jewelry trend Army personnel love- both men AND women. You’re probably thinking- “There are jewelry trends in the Army?!”. To that I would say yes! There is totally a jewelry trend in the military and I’m giving you a glimpse to what that item is, why this trend is so popular, why I also wear this item, and where you can purchase one of your own!

SILICONE RINGS 

The jewelry trend that is huge in the Army are silicon rings! These rings are perfect for Army personnel because of how active our jobs are! Our duty day starts at 6:00 in the morning with an hour of physical training (PT as the Army likes to call it. Or just working out for everyone else!). Many Army personnel don’t like to wear their nice engagement or wedding bands while working out, but they also don’t like to keep their ring finger bare either. A silicon ring is the perfect (and stylish!) solution to wearing a ring on your ring finger and not scratching up your wedding bands.

The active lifestyles of men and women in the military do not stop in the morning. Some days are spent at the range training on various weapons systems, conducting field exercises, or working with equipment you don’t want your expensive wedding bands around to potentially get damaged.

I know a ton of men and women who have opted for silicon bands as their actual wedding band due to their active lifestyle and they don’t want to keep rotating jewelry pieces throughout the day.

I started to wear a silicon band on my ring finger when I do PT a few weeks ago because I want to preserve the quality of both my wedding and engagement ring. Honestly, I don’t know why I waited so long to wear one because these rings are amazing and super comfortable! You don’t need to be in the military to wear a silicone ring. Silicon rings are perfect for anyone with an active lifestyle such as doctors, athletes, fire-women/policewomen, and mom’s on the go!
