Hi, Gorgeous! With fall right around the corner I thought it would be fun to write about how to create a killer date night look both you and your S.O will love! Summer date night looks are relatively easy to style since you are able to show off a little more leg and skin while not freezing to death.
So how do you appear sexy while still staying warm? I’m so glad you asked because I’m breaking down my top style tips starting now!
GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE (A LITTLE BIT)
When it comes to styling a date night look you are dressing up. Now take the term “dressing up” literally. What I mean is, you are going to wear a look that you don’t typically rock during the week days. When you wear this outfit you may be a little out of your comfort zone, but you never want to go to far from what you’re comfortable with so you aren’t confident in what you’re wearing.
I’ll use myself as an example for this style tip!
During the week days I am rocking my very loose fitting Army camo uniform and during my days off I gravitate towards more flowy dresses. Loose fitting items are definitely my comfort zone, but for a date night look I wanted to wear something a little tighter fitting that showed off my figure.
Picking out this dress was totally out of my comfort zone (and not my typical choice!), but as soon as I put it on I absolutely loved it and felt 100% confident in it!
EXERCISE: Take 1 minute to think of a few outfits or wardrobe pieces you could wear for your next date night that are a little out of your comfort zone!
DEFINE YOUR WAIST
When fall comes around, so do the layers. It’s ultra important that no matter how many layers you are wearing you don’t loose your waistline because that is the tiniest part of your torso and gives your body an amazing figure!
This style tip is perfect to remember when putting together a fall date night look!
You can define your waistline by wear tighter fitting clothes (as I did with my dress in this post!), wearing a belt, opting for an A-Line dress, or simply tucking your shirt into your bottoms (yep, it’s that simple!).
OPT FOR NEUTRALS
Neutral hues are perfect for creating a date night look. Not only are these colors chic, but neutrals allow you to wear tighter fitting silhouettes (if you chose!), play around with cut outs, or incorporate fun textures such as faux fur without having your outfit appear over styled.
INCORPORATE LEATHER
Leather is an amazing texture to add to any look. You can go all out and wear a leather jacket, like I did in today’s post, or simply accessorize through a handbag or clutch.
Whatever your personal style adding this texture is the perfect addition to any fall date night look!
LEGS FOR DAYS, GORGEOUS
I am totally a flats girl, but in the spirit of this post and for date night, I wear heels:). The best part about this style tip is that no matter what bottoms you are wearing whether it’s jeans, a dress, or a skirt your heels will give your legs a few extra inches in length making the “legs for dayzzzz” illusion which is always a good thing!
