I recently went to the Sephora event Beauty before Brunch event a few weeks ago and bought a few items to add to my makeup collection! One of those items is the Anastasia Contour Kit in Light to Medium. First, let me start off saying I wasn’t at the event to purchase a contour kit. Nor did I ever think I would own one. I was walking around the store with my friend Sarah when I walked through the aisle with all of the Anastasia products. This brand is known for having high quality, amazing products and the contour kit really stood out to me.

I asked one of the Sephora workers if I could have a mini makeover using this kit and they ushered me over to one of the makeover chairs. The Anastasia Kit has six different contouring colors. The three on the top are the lighter colors and the three on the bottom are the darker ones. The colors are gorgeous- ranging from a matte pale shade to a shimmery peach. The makeup artist looked at my face shape (which is extremely oval!) and showed me which colors to apply where based off my face shape.

Needless to say by the end of the mini makeover I was SOLD on this product. I couldn’t believe the difference contouring made, and I definitely felt more glamorous after walking out of that chair. I now add this contouring kit to my makeup routine for those days when I want to feel extra glam, but honestly, you could use this kit everyday and it wouldn’t be to much to wear at work (I’ve even worn this to work a few times!).

I like that this product isn’t a cream, it’s a powder. This powder blends right into my foundation without looking to caked on. I use this product as the last and final step in my glam routine because that is how natural the colors are. ( Note: This kit is definitely for a more natural looking contour! So if you are into a more dramatic contour this would not be the palette for you.)

I start out with the color called “banana” and then mix in the “sand” for the lighter contouring parts of my routine. Then I go back and use the color “fawn” and then add in the tiniest bit of “havana.” I highly recommend this product to anyone who asks me what I contour with. This product is a bit on the expensive side ($40) but totally worth it if you want to add contouring to your routine!

Thank you so much for stopping by Blush & Camo!
