Trend Alert: Stacking Jewelry

Bauble necklaces used to fly off the shelves at retailers, but I am noticing jewelry is transitioning away from statement and more towards delicate pieces- and I LOVE this trend. Let me tell you why.

The best part about this delicate jewelry trend is that you can stack and layer to create a multidimensional look. Delicate pieces are usually thin, with very few embellishments on them- if any. Therefore, you are able to stack or layer more of these pieces and not go overboard. For example, when I go to work I wear a thin 14k gold knot band on my left middle finger and a thin gold chevron ring on my right middle finger (I get compliments on these delicate rings all the time, and my friends are also starting to wear this type of jewelry because they love how it looks!). On the weekends I will add three to four thin gold rings to each of my pointer fingers. You can continue to stack the rings however you like! You can even decide at what length of your finger you can wear your rings on and can add on midi rings! I love all the choices this trend brings and the more delicate jewelry you own, the more variations you can create. This layering affect was not possible with cocktail rings or bauble necklaces which are typically embellished with large prints and a variation of colors. You can only wear one of each (or sometimes just one bauble necklace or cocktail ring) because you don’t want to take to much attention away from the rest of the outfit. With this trend, this simply is not the case! The more you add the merrier. The delicate jewelry trend never takes away from any outfit, in fact, I think it adds some serious chicness (and what’s not to love about that)! I am a ring gal, so when I buy jewelry it’s usually only rings, which is why you see me stacking rings in almost every single blog post. I have recently branched out to layering necklaces, but when I do wear necklaces it’s this monogramed one from Kate Spade I love so much!

If this trend was not stylish enough, you can also mix and match metals. As I said before this jewelry trend focuses less on embellishments and more on metal color such as gold, rose gold, or silver. Mixing metals is a great way to try something different. I personally love gold jewelry so I typically am only wearing delicate gold bracelets, necklaces, and earrings! I don’t see this trend going anywhere soon and I am happy this trend is here to stay. Thanks so much for reading:)

The rings I am wearing in the picture are sold out, but here is a similar stack from H&M.

Below I have linked a few great pieces to add to your jewelry collection!
