Some of my favorite pieces to add to my closet for spring are eyelet tops and lace garments. When I was deciding how to style this top I thought “why not put my two favorite clothing items into one look?!” so I did just that! These shorts aren’t full lace, but the top layer is a thick lace overlay which I love. The eyelet top is so feminine and never goes out of style, so I have an item I can recreate looks with season after season!
When Courtney and I shot this look after work one day the sun was super bright and I wasn’t planning on adding a hat. In fact, I wasn’t planning on wearing any type of accessory until the sun came out and I could’t look at the camera directly without squinting. Ipso facto, Courtney had this hat in her closet and told me to throw it on and I LOVE the look with it. In fact, I really can’t picture this outfit without the hat now. If you are wondering where she got this hat it’s from Puerto Rico where Courtney took photos for a wedding (she also needed a hat to keep the sun out of her face). Anyways, to finish of this look I added my favorite fold over clutch. What do you think of this look?! I would love to hear from you in the comments below! Thank you so much for stopping by:).
