Hello, Gorgeous! As many of you ladies know I recently moved from South Carolina to Tennessee. The move happened so fast, and it was a whirlwind getting all my stuff packed, driving out here, and getting my new house put together. During this time period I barley had time to eat- let alone take time to plan out my outfits! But, true to Blush Babe form, I still wanted to look cute.

In today’s post I’m sharing how to style a cute outfit when you literally have no time! These tips will ensure you look amazing no matter what’s going on in your life because when you look great, you feel great!

FIND A COLOR THAT DOMINATES YOUR WARDROBE

The first tip is to take a look at your wardrobe (easy, right?!). When looking at your wardrobe there is going to be a color that dominates or is the underlying shade of your entire wardrobe. You’ll know what color this is when you look at all your pieces. Will most of your wardrobe items match more black, blue, grey, or brown hues? What color are most of your handbags?

For most women the underlying color of their wardrobe is either black or navy. For me this color is blue! Everything I own will match navy and there are very few items I own that are black.

This tip is important because when you want to put an outfit together you need to understand what hues you can pair quickly together. This is going to come in handy for style tip #2!

PUT TOGETHER A MONOCHROMATIC LOOK

When you have literally no time to get together I highly, highly recommend putting together a monochromatic look. The reason for this is because monochromatic outfits are instantly chic and you can put these together in just a matter of minutes. If your closet is all black simply grab a black tops, jeans, shoes, and handbag! In a matter of seconds you have a very chic put together outfit!

When I was traveling and moving to Tennessee my outfits were monochromatic! This made packing clothing items in my car “carry on” very easy! I knew that with a few pieces I could create at least three looks instantly!

TAKE TIME TO PURCHASE THE BASICS

Never underestimate the power of wardrobe basics such as cozy sweaters, long sleeve basic tees, and cardigans. Many women love to fill their wardrobe with trendy items, but sometimes these are not the most practical or comfortable items to wear. Instead, take time this season to add a few basics to your wardrobe this season. Doing this will ensure you can style an outfit instantly and look amazing throughout the day!

Stores to purchase basics from are Old Navy, Gap, Lou & Grey (my favorite!), Loft, and H&M. These stores have sections specifically for basics and the prices are amazing!

  1. OMG! The denim dress is an absolute must-have!!! Love the way you styled it with light pink sandals and floral print blue bag. Simple, easy to wear and it still looks ladylike! Love it.
