Hello Gorgeous! Thank you so much for stopping by Blush & Camo because today I’m sharing my full experience at Sea Island Resort during my blogger babe retreat. A few months ago I was approached by a blogger babe who I knew through Instagram and she wanted to know if I was interested in meeting up with 8 other bloggers for a quick little get away. I said yes immediately and from then on all of us ladies started planning this trip together.

All the ladies I went on this trip with were so sweet, smart, and all total #GirlBosses. I loved sharing blogging ideas and learned so much from all of them. I already have plans to meet up with most of them in the near future!

The hotel we stayed in is what dreams are made of (I’m not kidding!)

The Sea Island resort is the only hotel in the world to receive four Forbes Five-Stars eight years in a row!! The resort has received 59 Five-Star and Five-Diamond honors total. Sea Island Resort has also been named the #1 hotel in the U.S by U.S News and World Report. This means this resort totally understands hospitality and how to take care of their guests.

Located on the southeastern coast of Georgia, Sea Island features five miles of private beach, a Beach Club, tennis and squash centers, Yacht Club, Shooting School, and Camp Cloister.

SEA ISLAND RESORT

FRIDAY NIGHT

I stayed at The Cloister at the Sea Island Resort and it was hands down the best hotel experience I have ever had, and I truly doubt that a hotel will ever be able to top the hospitality that I received starting the second I drove onto the premise.

As soon as I pulled my car up to the front of The Cloister I was blown away by the beauty of both the resort and the location of where I was staying. There was a gentleman waiting to open my car door and help me unpack all of my belongings to my hotel room which he carried for me. As I walked through the lobby it felt like I was in the most glamorous castle and the hallways were covered in beautiful archways which seemed never ending as you walked towards your room.

My room was bigger than my apartment with the most beautiful interior design. The design of the rooms were cozy, glamorous, and classic. I immediately felt at home as I started to unpack my things. The bathroom was my favorite room complete with a vanity and an oversized light pink chair to sit on while doing your hair and makeup for the day! The curtains in the room where this thick floral print with colorful tassels on the ends that all of us ladies were completely obsessed with. The hardwood floors where a deep chestnut hue and covered in colorful rugs (Jenna from Visions of Vogue kept saying how much she loved those rugs!).

The first night all the ladies ate at Southern Tide at the Beach Club. This restaurant had more of a casual vibe and served surf and turf type of food. All the food was amazing and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. All the ladies ordered wine and we kicked off a fun filled weekend!

We ended the night after dinner and were anxious to explore the grounds at Sea Island!

SATURDAY

Saturday started bright and early because all the ladies had collaborations to shoot for and we wanted to get those done in the beginning of the day so we had time to relax at night! When I opened my door to search for some coffee I found a copy of the New York Times at my door (side note: this resort has a way of making you feel completely at home and at ease, while at the same time making you feel more glamorous then you’ve ever felt.)

My roomie Laura (she’s the blogger behind Styled Adventures!) and I headed into the lobby to find some coffee. The coffee station we found was set up in the library which was breathtakingly filled from floor to ceiling in books. Around the room were coffee stations and in the middle of the room was a large table where you could pick various newspapers to read on the oversized chairs in the room.

After a quick bite to eat all of the ladies started shooting our collaborations for the day. Everywhere we turned was picture perfect (I’m not kidding, everything was so picturesque that it didn’t matter where you took your pictures because everything was SO beautiful). From beautiful greenery to chic buildings everything was ready to be photographed. I spent a little time that morning walking around with Laura just taking in the beauty of the resort grounds!

For lunch that day all the ladies ate at the River Bar which served simple bites to eat to include hummus plates, nachos, and burgers. Their fries and bread rolls were SO good and all the ladies kept ordering more servings. Again, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone because both the service and food were phenomenal.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON

That afternoon all the ladies went back over to the Beach House where we had dinner the previous night to shoot pictures for Draper James holiday collection (I’m still swooning over all those pieces!). The Beach House is exactly as it sounds- right on the beach with the most gorgeous views of the water! This area would be perfect to bring your family to during the day to relax by the beach and there was a playground the kids could play on!

After exploring the grounds of the Beach House (just breathtaking!) we went back to the hotel to get ready to go on a private cruise for the night!

Around 6pm that night we sailed off the Cloister dock in a gorgeous white yacht. We wentsailing through the marshes and there were three dolphins that were following the boat (and this was first experience seeing a dolphin!). We docked the boat right as the sun was setting and it was the perfect way to end the night!

SATURDAY NIGHT

That night we had a private dinner at the Five-Star restaurant called the Georgian. We found out that night that this is the only Five-Star restaurant in the state of Georgia! All the ladies had a five course meal, which I have never done before. When the waiter brought out the food they would explain exactly what each of the dishes was in great detail which made the entire dining experience that more special. The food was beautiful, tasted amazing, and was an experience I will never forget.

TO SUM IT UP

This entire experience was beyond anything I could ever dream of and as I am writing this I am going through Sea Island withdrawals and wish I was back there. I already have plans with Chuck to visit next year! Even though this is one of the longest blog posts I’ve written, no amount of writing can fully capture the amazing experience I had while staying at the Sea Island Resort.

If you ladies are ever in the area, or are looking for your next adventure you NEED to stay at Sea Island!
