How To Make a Cardigan Out of A Scarf in 1 Minute

Hello my gorgeous Blush Babes! As you probably figured out, I LOVE clothing, but I am on a #budget so I am always thinking of creative ways to style my clothes in a new way (anyone else out there with me?!).

I recently received this gorgeous scarf from Bella Fusion and immediately knew I would wear this item all fall/winter long. This pattern is stunning so I didn’t want to wrap it around my neck to hide any of the pattern- I wanted to show it off!

I decided to wear this scarf as a makeshift cardigan! Here’s how you can too…

PICK A SWEATER

The first step is to pick a warm sweater underneath your cardigan. I recommend a sweater because they tend to be warmer then a long sleeve shirt (but you can totally rock this look with a long sleeve t shirt too!).

DRAPE YOUR SCARF

This is the important part:).

To create this cardigan effect I folded my scarf in half so it looked like a triangle. Then, I took the tip of the triangle and draped that over my back and let the two corners fall over my shoulders.

It’s really that easy!

ADD A BELT FOR A MORE DEFINED LOOK

To finish this entire look I wanted to create definition in my waist. I opted for this gorgeous rose gold belt to tie the whole look together.

You can use any belt you like with this kind of look. If the belt is too long, no worries! Just tuck the belt under like I did in this post here!

  3. Julianna, this pairing is so beautiful! I love the way you draped the scarf and belted it (the belt is beautiful) to create more definition to the look. The pattern on the scarf is just gorgeous and is perfect for fall. The fact that you paired it with a sweater that’s one of the colors found in the scarf, truly enhances the print. Such great styling as always, beautiful, and yes, I’m with you, on the whole budget thing! It’s always a great idea to shop our closets and see what pairings we can create, it gets our creative juices flowing!

Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you have an amazing day!
