When I first saw this dress I was in love. This dress is so romantic and I love the delicate embellishments placed throughout the the bottom and top (especially the top!). Then, when I saw the original price tag, I about fell off my chair. This dress was a good portion of my monthly paycheck. I knew I couldn’t buy it. I am all about splurging from time to time, but I knew I couldn’t wear this year round like a pair of shoes or a handbag (that’s usually were I splurge). Plus, my style philosophy is you don’t need to spend a fortune on clothes to look good- so I decided to wait until it went on sale.
Then the dress went on sale, and the price was still ridiculously high, so again, I didn’t buy it. I waited until this was a final sale item on Piperlime (I could NOT believe this dress did not sell out). By that time the price was so low is was over 75% off and I thought the price was a total steal so I finally got the dress (insert emoji praise hands here!). I bought this dress August of last year and it is finally warm enough outside to wear this dress. So, this blog post has been one I have planned for about a year (goodness!). What do you all think about this final look?! Sorry for the longer post but I wanted to share this dress journey with you all. Do any of you have stories behind some of the items in your closet?! Let me know in the comments below!
