After today I will officially be on an extended weekend (thanks, Army!) to celebrate Memorial Day weekend! Chuck and I don’t have anything special planned since we each have to work a 24 hour shift each over the extended time off. Do any of you have some extra time off this weekend?! I hope you do:)

I fell in love with this military jacket three years ago when I was shopping for a great spring coat for those chillier days. When I came across this beauty I knew I found an instant closet staple. I have also worn this jacket with super feminine pieces and love how the coat adds an edgier vibe to the softer items in my closet. I decided to keep this look simple using only neutral tones and  pieces anyone could find in their closet. That way you can recreate the exact same look! I am slightly obsessed with the half up hair bun at the moment (is there an official name for this hairstyle? I have no idea.) and have been wearing my hair like this after the workday. What do you think of this jacket?! I would love to hear from you in the comments below!

Thanks so much for reading!

Jacket- old, but similar here and here; Skirt- Romwe; T-Shirt- Old Navy; Shoes- Target; Clutch- Clare V.

  1. […] colors since I know I typically use lighter neutrals. I first wore this skirt in this blog post here. This skirt goes all the way up to my waist so I decided to tie the shirt right at the top of skirt […]

  2. I think it’s called a half up bun or something like that. Love this skirt and how the clutch stands out against it. Have a great long weekend!
